~Please take a moment to click on this link and enter~ Leaving A Legacy's Mother's Day Giveaway! God's has been speaking to me lately.......about everything I have been learning, and...um....(head bowed in shame....re-learning). Sometimes I think He must get so upset with me when I sigh and think, "Didn't I just learn that?" I am so thankful that He is understanding. As long as my heart and mind are in the right place He is patient as I learn and grow. Looking at the old school house in the picture above it makes me wonder what lessons were learned in it's classrooms. Life is like a classroom, one in which we will never graduate from. The problem that I often have in class, is making sure I remember things. It seems as if God teaches me a life lesson, where I am amazed at what I learn, ... read more

Unseen and Seen
I stare at the blankness on my computer screen, deciding whether to write or not. With the prompting and challenge of my husband....I write. Real. It can take two forms, seen and unseen. When you are a stage IV breast cancer patient, the real that is seen, is one that I don't like. Not at all. My brother knows I don't like to talk about this real. Which is fine. He is right. Sometimes I will open up, but only to a select few.How many of us are truly real? When someone asks us how we are doing, most of us will say, "Oh, fine. How are you?" When in reality, the true real gets hidden deep inside. Inside a place where only Jesus, husbands, sometimes brothers, and certain friends will ever know. The real that is unseen is the one that I like. It's my faith in God. I can't see my faith, or God, ... read more
A Titus 2 Woman in a Modern Day World~Part 2
~Please take a moment to click here to read~ A Titus 2 Woman in a Modern Day World~Part 1 The huge wooden door swings open and Sarah slowly steps inside. She sees a few people milling around, and hears music coming from the brightly lit sanctuary. The music fills her with peace. A peace that she has been missing for so long. She shyly moves closer to the ladies that are caught up in conversation about their lives. How she wishes she could be part of that conversation. She wants to tell someone her story.....her story of despair and loneliness. She wants someone to listen and tell her that they care. As she starts to move into the sanctuary she passes the women and hears one of the ladies murmur to her friend, "On my, look over there." The two ladies look in disdain as Sarah approaches ... read more
A Titus 2 Woman in a Modern Day World~Part 1
With each passing day it's my desire that I grow and mature into the woman God desires me to be. As Christian women God doesn't want us to stay stagnant, but to grow and move forward. Through each season, whether it be the hope of Spring or the dark days of Winter, He always supplies us with opportunities to become more like Him.As I prepare my legacy for my children, I want them to see a Mother that accepts the challenges and changes that God places in my life. Over the past few weeks God has placed the following verses on my heart. These verses are areas where God is challenging me to grow and be different."4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their ... read more
Healing Grace
Pictures make it real...... With a heavy heart I ask for prayer and drive to the doctor's office... Time for my blood draw and infusion..... Time to pick a brown chair with a pink pillow.... Time to prepare, time to get my arm warmed as friends from childhood look on... Time for my Zometa, a medicine that strengthens my bones, in case cancer should try to find a new home... Time to look for gifts amidst the storm.... As I count them one by one.... God's healing grace washes over me, I am reminded that no matter what..... There is no death in Christ....He already took our place... Instead I am reminded that the future brings life... Life in Him for all of eternity. Even though the images burn the current reality onto my soul... I move forward with hope in ... read more
