I want to be remembered as a mother
~Who put God first an foremost in her life
~Who taught her children to love God and put him first and foremost in their lives
~Who loved and respected their father
~Who loved her children with all the love she could possibly give
~Who realized the home is the most important place a mother can be, because it is there where she can nourish her children and help them to grow and flourish
~Who told her children they could be anything they wanted to be
~Who made sure her home was filled with love and laughter
~Who taught her children the importance of being diligent in what they do
~Who taught her children it is ok to make mistakes because that’s how they can learn
~That taught her children it is never ok to be prejudice or discriminate against others due to their race or ethnicity
~Who wanted to help others and let them know that God loved them
~Who had old fashioned values and beliefs
~Who left her children and grandchildren with a godly legacy that they can always look back on
These are desires of my heart that my children would one day remember me by. It is not that I am perfect in them , or ever will be, but with the Lord’s strength I keep pressing on. On this Mother’s Day I encourage you to take time to stop and answer the question, what kind of mother do you want to be remembered as?
