For our family Friday school happens for eight weeks during the fall and eight weeks during the winter. During these time periods we meet with other homeschooling families at a local church on Friday's from 8:30-3:30. The children are able to take various classes that the parents have agreed to teach. We begin the morning with chapel, then they move onto their classes. Daniel's first class of the morning is Manners and Etiquette, then he moves onto Art, Spanish and then lunch. His fourth class is in the afternoon were all the younger kids meet together and learn about different topics, the past two weeks they have learned about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Spanish Tests
One part of our homeschooling journey is called Friday school. During Friday school Emily and Daniel have a variety of classes that they are able to take. One of the classes they are currently taking is Spanish with Emily at the highschool level and Daniel at the elementary level.Today was a big day in both of these classes because they both had tests. Emily got the highest grade in her class which was a 91% a B. Daniel got an 86% on his test wich was also a B. Way to go! All of your hard work and studying paid off! ... read more

Precious Gifts
Here are the two precious gifts that God has blessed me and my husband Bill with. Emily our oldest loves to help others and learn new things. Her favorite things are reading, horses and the Seattle Mariners. Daniel is a character that loves life. His favorite things are his pet bunny named Daniel, helping me bake, and at times being mischevious towards his sister.We learn and grow together each day as we travel down the road the homeschooling leads us on. ... read more
What will Your Legacy be?
God takes each of us down different paths for many reasons. There are many twists and turns along the dusty roads we travel, many valleys that we will walk through, many mountain tops that we will stand upon. Through it all we are growing and learning each step of the way through trials and tears, victories and celebrations. What we are left with in the end will be a legacy for our children and those around us. The story that follows is an excerpt of a speech that I wrote to present to our church for a mother's day tea.
