God is working with me to keep my focus on the positive things in life. Last night as I was laying down to sleep he reminded me of the things he has blessed me with that I am thankful for. All of these items no matter how large or small have made it to my list because of the happiness and joy they bring to my life.1. Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and my ability to have a personal relationship with him.2. Praying and reading my bible.3. My wonderful family4. My best friend, my husband5. My son's sense of humor6. My daughter's enthusiasm over the Seattle Mariner's. Smile.7. A home, that God provided for us8. Being able to wake up every morning9. A Dear Friend

Today we were very blessed to have a dear friend from work come and have lunch with us. I have known Tiffany for two years and I can honestly say that she is the happiest person that I have ever met. Every time I see her she always wears a smile on her face, rarely complains about anything except the copy machine (smile) and is ready and willing to do whatever is asked of her. To prove my point she had actually had people at work nickname her smilz. She also had one individual interview her and ask her what her secret to being happy all the time was. She is truly setting a Christ like example wherever she goes.In a few months time Tiffany will be graduating from nursing school and embarking on a new chapter in her life. In July my family and I will have the privelage of attending her ... read more

Yesterday was a busy day for our family. We woke early in the morning, to six inches of snow, to travel to our zone quiz meet which was about half an hour a way. At the meet the kids did wonderful! Our teams took first and third place, and Daniel only missed 1 question so he was able to be part of a 5 way tie for first place! Good job Daniel! Then we were blessed to have 26 people, all of the quizzers and their families, over to our house for a quizzing potluck/awards ceremony. The time was filled with good food, friends, laughter and our 11 quizzers receiving special recognition as they were reminded how important they are to us, and how well they have done this year. I hope the quizzers realize that as they study God's word they are laying an incredible spiritual foundation and building ... read more

Bunny’s Great Escape

These are pictures of a bunny on a mission. He was put into his pen in the backyard yesterday afternoon to play, run and enjoy the sunshine. He seemed more contemplative than usually as he kept standing on his hind legs looking at us as if pondering when and where he was going to do it. Then it happened, in a flash of gray and white fur he made his move and lept right out of his pen and into the freedom of the backyard. Well, I am so thankful that my husband was there. He acted quickly and swept him up in his arms and into the safety of his hutch, where the door was shut and locked. Having a bunny loose in our backyard to get underneath the shed or under the fence and into our neighbors backyard where their golden retriever awaited would not have been the best thing to happen. Thank you ... read more
