In my visions I find the answer….
It was an early spring morning, the cool freshness of the air swept over me, causing me to breath in deep. The sun’s rays warmed my face as I walked along the edge of the pond that glistened in the first days light. One by one the brown feathered ducks swam up to the shore to greet me good morning. Their eager beaks awaited in anticipation as I took their breakfast out of the bread sack. Such beautiful creatures happy and content in the simple things of life.
As I turned the corner of the dirt path the fragrance of the lilacs caught me be surprise as the lavender, purple and white bushes awoke from their nights sleep. One of my favorite flowers in full bloom, ready to greet the world.
Up further I climbed to see what glories the park beheld. Under my feet I could feel the sharpness of the rocks below. I came to the entrance and saw a garden that looked as if it was touched be the Master’s hand. The smell of roses perfumed the air. The colors of reds, pinks, whites and yellows exploded across the field. I stopped to drink in their aroma and noticed the yellow and black bees buzzing this way and that to pollinate the fresh buds.
Walking towards the middle of the garden I noticed some evergreen trees hiding a beautifully fashioned stone bench. I made my way to the bench to sit alone in the quietness of the morning. I opened my Bible to 1 Thessalonians 5:18,
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
As I lowered my head in prayer I thought about what the upcoming week held, I cried out to the Father for strength to face whatever came my way. As the tears fell one by one onto the pages of the open Bible, I felt His touch….He was clothed in white and His face glowed in majesty. He lifted up my chin and said, “My child do not fear…don’t you remember….I am always with you.” He sat down beside me and wiped the tears from my face. “When trials come into your life you need to look for the gifts in the everyday ordinary. The peace you are so desperately searching for will be found once you are willing to hold these gifts in your heart.”
Whatever your facing this week, He is there…..you are not alone. His presence and peace can found when you seek Him in the daily, simple gifts in life. To find them all you need to do is look.
At a Holy Experience we are counting 1000 gifts in 2012, won’t you join us…..
