During two separate instances today I was reminded of the fact that I am a role model to my children, and they are always watching how I react to things. The first was during our literature time when we were reading a story out of “Wisdom and the Miller’s”. In one of the stories a little boys by the name of Peter made a statement and then his little sister Laura immediately repeated what he said. It was at this point that my daughter Emily said, “Boy that’s why we should always be careful of what we say because others will pick it up.”
Then later in the afternoon Daniel and I were walking through Walmart and he looked up at me and said,”Your tired aren’t you Mom?” To which I replied yes. Then he looked up at me and replied, “That’s one thing that I like about you Mom, even when your tired your always smiling.” Which made me stop and think well, I’m sure glad he thinks I’m always smiling because sometimes I don’t feel like I am. It was a nice reminder from God that, my children are always looking at me to be an example and they will learn from what I do and say. So when possible, try to put on a smile, because little eyes are watching our every move.
