One of My Favorite Things

Last week I received in the mail one of my new favorite things, a 2014 daily planner, The Homemakers Friend, created by Sue Hooley. Sue has been married to her husband for 23 years and she is a mom to 6 children. Through her years of experience raising her family and taking care of her household, she has developed the perfect planner for every homemaker.

This planner is more than just your everyday planner that you can pick up at a local store. It is divided into yearly, monthly and weekly sections.  There are sections for tasks, projects and events, a personal section, as well as a section for tear out shopping lists.

I love the weekly view of this daily planner. It contains a section for a task list, as well as daily menus. I love the fact that I can see my weekly schedule while being able to stay on top of my to-list and daily menus at the same time.

One of my favorite things about this planner is the encouragement that’s sprinkled throughout, from scripture to inspirational posts. My favorite inspirational quote is,

Contentment is not based on what you have; it’s based on how you choose to view life.

This is one of the sturdiest planners I have ever seen. It is spiral bound, has a laminated cover, and  laminated tabs that separate each section.
