Desperate - A Life Changing Book

Today I am so honored to write a review about my new favorite book, “Desperate, Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe”, by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson.

The book Desperate: “Hope for the Mom Who Needs to Breathe”, will change the lives of mothers forever. It strikes a chord with the hearts of both young and older moms alike. It gives younger mothers the hope and encouragement they need to realize they are not alone on this journey. It also challenges the veteran moms to step up to the plate and re-enlist in the army of motherhood by mentoring a younger generation of mothers.

This book provides a wealth of inspiration to first time moms. It provides advice and scriptures to help you hold your head high as you walk the long and sometimes lonely road of raising young babies. Desperate also equips older moms with advice on how to be a mentor. It helps older moms to say just the right things to younger moms, the types of things that you wish someone would have said to you when you were knee deep in the trenches of mothering your young babes.

I have always told my friends that the gift of motherhood is one of the highest callings a woman can have. The way we raise our children today will have an impact on the generations to come. I loved one of the statements made by Sally that reiterated this, “A mother, living welling in her God-ordained role, is of great beauty and inestimable value to the future of generation. Her impact is irreplaceable and necessary to the spiritual formation of children who will be the adults of history to come.”

Desperate will give you knowledge and confidence as you move forward in your calling of being a mother. It was such a good book, I had a hard time putting it down. One of my favorite parts of the book are the videos done by Sarah Mae and Sally Clarkson, that reference each chapter. { You can scan codes with your smart phone to watch them, or there are links that you can use to watch them on your computer.} I will definitely be reading Desperate again. I highly recommend this book!
