~ A Legacy in Writing ~
The writing or the setting down of the thoughts from our souls are so important. Capturing the memories from the past and hopes for the future are more valuable than we could ever imagine.
The practice of journaling is so valuable. It can be used to create a remembrance of your history, a place where tales of your ancestors can be kept. It can hold a record of where you’ve come from, where you’re going, and the progress you’ve made along the way.
Journals can be used during your quite times with the God, to write down your prayer requests and praises. It can be used to document the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon you. It can help you stay focused as you move forward in your relationship with the Lord
You can also use a journal to write down thoughts from your heart that you want to share with your children and grandchildren. You can share treasures that you want them to remember for when you are no longer here. Stories from your past and lessons that you learned from the Savior that will help them in their future. The Lord’s word tells us that,
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they may stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Psalm 37:23-24
God cares about every detail in our lives, even our journaling, when it’s used as a tool to strengthen our relationship with Him and our children. If you’re not currently journaling ask the Lord if this is something He wants you to include in your life.
Below you will see two journals that can help you capture the valuable moments you want to write down to remember and learn from. The first is a “Jeremiah 29:11 Journal,” I personally have this and love using it in my quite time with the Lord. The second journal is called “A Mother’s Love”. It’s set up in a unique way to help you record the most important things about your life that you want your children to remember.

Works for Me Wednesday

I spent many years journaling and yes,it is a wonderful tool! I journal less now, but do keep a journal for each of my children. I’d love to begin journaling daily again.
LOVE this giveaway!!
I journal to my children. And I also journal during my quiet times with God. I enjoy journaling, however my hand writing is SO bad that sometimes I go back to read and even I can’t read it. :/
I need to START journaling…. for the kids, grandkids and especially the foster kids, to take w/them our thoughts and expressions of love when they move on, be it going back home or to another home…… btw… there are 2 “leaving a legacy” on google+ (since google friend connect is no more) I followed both, hoping one of them is really you! LOL
I love journaling. Sometimes it includes pages of writing my heart on the pages and sometimes it is only a verse for that day.
